A Voice for Vital Bridges’ Clients

Your donations and volunteer hours are important to the clients we serve. But just as much as these families and individuals need your support and helping hands, they also need your voice. Government funding for the poor with HIV and AIDS is decreasing and very little is being said or printed about it. By making a phone call to a Congress person or sending a letter to a Senator, you can make a difference!

  • Advocate! Active and concerned individuals like you have a big impact on national, state-wide and local decision-making. By getting involved, you can help ensure that our client services are available not just today, but also in the future! Let your national, state and local representatives know that you support Vital Bridges and our clients.
  • Learn the Issues! Vital Bridges has a wealth of information about federal and state legislation that impacts our clients. We are looking for concerned citizens like you to help us make a strong case to our elected officials to support our clients. Knowledge of the legislation is an important first step to advocating, and we’re here to help you! Then we can count on you to place those critical calls or emails your elected officials that make all the difference! Click here for the latest updates.
  • Speak Up! Share your concerns with your friends, neighbors and colleagues. Ask to speak at your church, temple or civic organization.
  • Write, Write, Write!  Write to your local paper about our clients and HIV/AIDS and poverty in metropolitan Chicago.
  • All politics are local! Study the issues that face our clients and voice your concerns – you may even want to consider attending a city council meeting!
