Vital Bridges helps people throughout metropolitan Chicago impacted by HIV and AIDS to improve their health and build self-sufficiency by providing food, nutrition, housing, case management and educational services.

There are more than 35,000 people living with HIV and AIDS in Illinois, 28,000 are in metropolitan Chicago. The vast majority of people living with HIV and AIDS live at or below the poverty line, struggling to meet their daily needs while dealing with a complex, debilitating and often fatal disease. Since 1981, 13,000 men, women and children in metropolitan Chicago have died from AIDS. That’s almost two people everyday!
